    Why can’t I use my king to take another player when I’m in check when playing the Boris level ?

      If the piece you are trying to capture is defended you will unable to capture it with your king.

    Will any of the simulations ever play into a fool’s mate?

      @Jacob. The easy levels are designed to make beginner type mistakes, the harder levels make fewer mistakes but are still beatable. I have never personally had any difficulty walk into a fools (or scholars) mate, but you never know.

    Not a good update. 1st level is playing against a complete idiot, while your 2nd level now is too advanced. Nothing in between as before- and I guess there are quite a lot players (not only me) just between level 1 and level 2.

      Sorry you don’t like the new chess game, but the old one is still available. There is another update for the new game, perhaps I will replace this version with the latest version rather than removing the original.

    What are the approximate Elo ratings of Boris and Guru? Been consistently beating Boris level so would be nice to know what that level is in order to better assess myself. Guru is locked of course because I haven’t downloaded the full version. But still curious.

    I was enraged to find that castling was not an available move.

      @Flynn,

      Click the king and all available moves will show up. Assuming you haven’t moved your king or rook and you are not currently in, or moving through check or into check, then castling works just fine.
